
Danielle refers to herself as Dan. She is an energetic and creative person with heaps of ideas. Throughout her career as marketing manager and product manager Dan was quickly identified as a high achiever and team player.
Working for companies like Hewlett-Packard as a product manager and DeIfin Property Group, as a marketing manager, Dan has honed her strategic marketing skills over 15 years in these large corporation. Feeling frustrated that really good ideas and customer insight was not able to be implemented easily in a large corporate, Dan decided to start her own business MacInnis Marketing in 2006.
By starting a small business from scratch and having 15 years of experience working for large companies, Danielle has developed some unique skills as a marketing consultant. Being able to see how important the strategy and big picture is, whilst balancing this with real actionable practical plans. “Marketing is all about creating customers that know, like and trust you. To do this you really have to take the time to understand your customers and their needs, show them empathy and the rest will fall into place.”
Dan’s biggest asset has always been to think like a customer. This empathy for the customer has created insightful marketing strategy.
Dan now works with CEOs of small businesses helping them make better business decisions, build better teams and brands. She mentors as part of the Australian Women Mentoring Network and does her own podcast to help small businesses with their marketing effort. Dan has also written and online small business marketing training module which is currently offered for free.
